In short. RemodelMatch is a lead-generation service, so sharing your request with security dealers and advertising partners may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under U.S. state privacy laws. To opt out, email our privacy team directly at [email protected].

1 Your right to opt out

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with comparable privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or others), you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of its use for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right.

To exercise this right, email us at [email protected] with the subject "Do Not Sell/Share Request" and include your name, the email address associated with your request, and your state of residence. For full details on what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

2 What "sale" & "share" mean for us

Under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), "sale" and "sharing" are defined broadly and can include disclosures made for valuable consideration or for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because our core service is matching you with dealers and partners who may pay for or provide value in exchange for that connection:

  • Sharing your quote request with matched dealers and providers may be considered a "sale".
  • Use of advertising and analytics cookies that pass identifiers to ad networks may be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising.

Opting out here stops the sale/share of your information for these purposes going forward. It does not undo any matching you previously requested, and it does not stop a dealer from contacting you about a request you already submitted.

3 Opt-out preference signals

Where required by law, we recognize and honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If you visit our site with GPC enabled, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale/share of personal information associated with that browser and device.

4 Authorized agents

You may use an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and, in some cases, may ask you to verify your own identity directly.

5 How we verify and respond

For opt-out requests, we generally do not require you to create an account. We may use the information you submit to locate and process your request and to prevent fraudulent requests. We will act on valid requests within the timeframes required by applicable law and will let you know if we need additional information.
